FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
-
How long does a video project typically take?
Most story and brand films run 4– 8 weeks from kickoff to final delivery, depending on scope, scheduling, and how many people need to weigh in on approvals. We'll map out a clear timeline before we start so there are no surprises.
-
What's included in your pricing, and what might cost extra?
Every quote outlines exactly what's covered including crew, equipment, editing, revisions, and production costs. You will know what’s included before we start. Things like additional shoot days, extra rounds of revisions beyond what's scoped, or custom music licensing are possible add-ons, and we'll always flag those upfront rather than surprise you later.
-
We just need you to shoot our video and we will edit. Do you do that?
Yes, we can scope a project around filming only. That said, most of our clients get the most value from our full process, from planning through final edit, since that's where the story really comes together.
-
Do you only work with clients in Connecticut?
We are based in Branford, CT, serving clients throughout Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts — but are willing to travel to you wherever your project takes us.
-
Who owns the final video and footage?
Once a project is paid in full, you own the rights to the completed video. All raw footage belongs to DirectLine Media. Rights to the use of the raw footage may be purchased for an additional fee.
-
How many rounds of revisions are included?
Typically two rounds of revisions are built into a project, which covers the vast majority of feedback. We'll always work with you to make sure the final piece is right.
